Members Present: Councilm~r Jean Schlueter, ~airperson Mayor T~m Gamec Councilmember Gary Reimann Councilm~r A1 Sorteberg Councilm~r Sue Van Wagner Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle City Attorney WillimGoodrich City Engineer Peter Raatikka City Building Official Clayton Berg City Assessor Lester Wirz Reporter Angela Flint G~airperson Schlueter called the Board of Adjustment to order at 7:49 p.m. ~ ~e~uest For Board Of Adiustment Variance To O~nstruct An Accessory Building LarGer ~han Allowed By City Ordinance end To Locate It In ~e Front Yard: Case Of Mr. Michael Motion by Mayor G~c~ec and seoonded by Councilmember Reimann to adopt Findings of Fact 0093 for the Board of Adjustment variance for Mr. Michael Schafer to construct an accessory structure of 720 square feet and to locate it in the front yard. (Please refer to findings of fact file for Findings of Fact 0093.) Further Discussion: Mr. Schafer stated that he does have one other small accessory on his property now and the reason for placing the new building within the front setback is that there is noway to access the rear of the property. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson $chlueter, Mayor Gamec, Ceuncilme~bers Sorteberg, Reimann and VanWagner. Voting No: None. Mayor Gamec stated that it has been the City's policy to consider the input from neighboring residents in such cases and also not to allow accessory buildings within the front setback.
