That the City is requesting that 177th is constructed to the limits of the plat to <br />facilitate future road connections, making 177th Avenue approximately 1,100 feet <br />in length. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, Cleveland, <br />and Shepherd. Voting No: Board Members Brauer, Levine. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded by Vice Chairperson Van Scoy to approve the <br />request for a variance to cul-de-sac length for 177th Avenue and adopt Resolution #06-03-073 <br />declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Condition removed. <br /> 9. That the City is requesting that Erkium Street is constructed to the limits of the <br /> plat to facilitate future road connections, making Erkium Street approximately <br /> 1,300 feet in length. <br /> 11. That the special conditions causing the undue hardship do not result from the <br /> actions of the Applicant. <br /> 12. That if granted, the variance will not grant special privilege that is denied to other <br /> owners of lands, structures, or buildings in the same district. <br /> 13. That, if granted, the variance will not impair an adequate supply of light and air to <br /> adjacent property. <br /> 14. That, if granted, the variance will not be materially detrimental to the purposes of <br /> the Ramsey Zoning Chapter or other property in the area. <br /> 15. That, if granted, the variance will endanger public safety. <br /> <br />Board Member Cleveland stated that if they are making recommendations to the City Council <br />because they are basing it on the ordinance, she questioned if they are saying they want a shorter <br />road. She indicate that she does not want the previous owners to not have access, and therefore <br />can see why City Staff is making the recommendation to extend the road. She stated she thinks it <br />would improve access for the fire department and those currently living there, but is still a public <br />safety issues for the new homes. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Board Members Brauer, Cleveland, and Levine. Voting No: Vice <br />Chairperson Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, and Shepherd.
