9. That the City is requesting that Erkium Street is constructed to the limits of the <br /> plat to facilitate future road connections, making Erkium Street approximately <br /> 1,300 feet in length. <br /> 11. That the special conditions causing the undue hardship do not result from the <br /> actions of the Applicant. <br /> 12. That if granted, the variance will not grant special privilege that is denied to other <br /> owners of lands, structures, or buildings in the same district. <br /> 13. That, if granted, the variance will not impair an adequate supply of light and air to <br /> adjacent property. <br /> 14. That, if granted, the variance will not be materially detrimental to the purposes of <br /> the Ramsey Zoning Chapter or other property in the area. <br /> 15. That, if granted, the variance will significantly endanger public safety. <br /> 16. That the connection of 177th Street will greatly improve public safety when <br /> completed. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, and <br />Cleveland. Voting No: Board Members Brauer, Levine, and Shepherd. Absent: Chairperson <br />Nixt. <br /> <br />Board Member Johnson suggested that they deny this variance. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Dalnes stated that she believes Board Member Cleveland's concern was that <br />the road would be shortened and not reach the existing homes. <br /> <br />Board Member Johnson indicated that it is possible. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Brauer, seconded by Board Member Levine to adopt Resolution #06- <br />03-074 adopting Findings of Fact #0755 relating to a request for a variance from maximum cul- <br />de-sac length for Erkium Street unfavorable to the applicant, with the following changes: 8. Condition removed. <br /> 9.
