On May 19, 2023 a total of three (3) bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids. <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />Douglass -Kerr Underground, L.L.C. $1,198,428.85 <br />New Look Contracting, Inc. $1,298,720.25 <br />Park Construction Company $1,571,339.47 <br />Engineer's Estimate $1, 496, 939.86 <br />The bid of Douglass -Kerr Underground, L.L.C. in the amount of $1,198,428.85 for the total bid construction of <br />said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder. The construction staking is included in the indirect project costs, and <br />proposed to be paid with Pavement Management funds. <br />City Staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as <br />part of Staff's normal duties. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends adopting Resolution #23-104 accepting bids and awarding contract for Improvement Project <br />#23-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Street Reconstructions. <br />
