following signs are permitted in each specific district and shall be re~alated as to size, location <br />and character according to the requirements herein set forth. <br /> <br />9.12.07 Residential Type Districts <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Area Identification Signs. One (1) sign per vehicular <br />access to a development, not to exceed th/rty-two (32) square feet in area is permitted. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Temporary Signs. Temporary signs are permitted in accordance <br />with Section 9.12.05. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Home Occupation Signs. Home Occupations Signs may be <br />permitted in accordance with Section 9.11.03, (Home Occupations) of this City Code. <br /> <br />- 9.1~.08 Business Type Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. <br /> <br />Business Use Signs <br /> <br />Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not'exceed fifteen <br />percent (15%) of the front building facade.. Businesses in multi-tenant <br />buildings shall be allowed the proportionate share of the total wall sign area_ <br />The total wall signage pen'nitted may be distributed on any other building <br />fagade. Sign height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no <br />parapet wail, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be located on the outermost wall of any <br />principal building but shall not project more than sixteen (16) inches from <br />the wall to wh/ch the sign is to be affixed. The gross surface area of a wail, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be increased by ten percent (10%) if such wall <br />sign: <br /> <br />Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric and/or <br />symbqlic characters without background except that provided by the <br />building surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and' <br /> <br />Illumination, ii any, is achieved through shielded illumination, <br />shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting-but not any <br />lighting where the light source is visible or exposed on the face or <br />sides of the characters. <br /> <br />Ground Sign. There shall not be more thgn one (1) ground sign for each <br />parcel. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall no[ exceed one <br />hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate <br />gross surface area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />c..
