Window signs are restricted to thirty percent (30%) of the area of the <br />window in which the sign is to be displayed. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Shopping Center Signs. In accordance with Ramsey City Code <br />Section 9:03,06 (Site Plan Review), Subdivision 1 (Required Site Plan/Building' Design <br />Information, item 'c' (Signs), the developer shall submit a sign plan for approval: drawn to scale <br />with elevations, at the time application is made' for site plan approval. The sign plan shall <br />include but not be limited to the following information: number of signs, type of signs, sign <br />sizes, type of construction materials, sign messages, and proposed sign location/. <br /> <br />9.12.09 E-1 and E-2 Employment Type Districts <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed <br />fifteen (15) percent of the front building (a~ade. Sign height shall not exceed'the tope of the <br />parapet wall'or, if no parapet walI, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wail, <br />canopy or marquee sign m~y be located on the outermost wall of any principal building but shall <br />not project more than sixteen (I 6)' inches from the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. Where <br />a principal building is' devoted to two~ (2) or more permitted uses, the operator of each such use <br />may install a wall sign upon his/her proportionate share of the building wall to which the si~n is <br />to be affixed. The maximum gross sm-face area of each such wall sign shall be determined by <br />calculating the proportionate share of the area of the building wail, including doors and windows <br />to which the sign is to be affixed and applying such proportion to the total permitted wall-sign <br />aggregate gross surface area for the building. The gross surface area of.a wall sign may be <br />increased by ten percent (10%) if such wall sign: <br /> <br />Consists only of individUal, outlined .alphabetic, numeric, and/or symbolic <br />characters without background except provided by the building surface to <br />which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />Any illumination, if any, iJ achieved through shielded ill.urnination, Shielded. <br />silhouette lighting, or shielded spot· lighting but not any lighting where the <br />light source is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br /> Sgbd. 2; Ground Signs. There shall hot be more than one (1) ground sign <br />for each parcel. The gros~ surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) <br />square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two hundred <br />(200) square feet. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Directional Signs <br /> <br />Directional or instructional signs are permitted in accordance with §9.12.03 <br />subd. 9. <br /> <br />Parking lot directional signs designating parking area entrances and exits are <br />limited to one (1) sign for each entrance and/or ex/t and shall not exceed <br />four (4) square feet for each exposed face.
