Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-04-xx <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF COUNCIL CONTINGENCY <br />FUNDS FOR CMAQ GRANT COLLABORATIVE CELEBRATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cities of Anoka and Ramsey have received confirmation that the <br />Met Council will be awarding CMAQ grants to both communities for transit <br />improvements in the Northstar Corridor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, specifically the City of Ramsey will be receiving 4.5 million to fund <br />an additional 200 parking stalls at the currently under-construction Municipal Parking <br />Facility and two Northstar commuter buses to provide express bus service to downtown <br />Minneapolis during the AM/PM peak hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a collaborative celebration with the cities of Anoka and Ramsey has <br />been scheduled for Monday, May 8th, 2006 from 5PM-7PM at the Links at Northfork. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the use of Council <br /> _ Contingency funds not to exceed $2000.00 for expenses for the CMAQ Grant <br /> Award Collaborative Celebration. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereofi <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 25th day of April 2006. <br /> <br />-158- <br /> <br /> <br />
