Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #06-04- <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT WITtt BIC9' GROUP IN TlrI~ AMOUNT OF <br />$10,500 (FUNDING SOURCE EQLrI~MlgNT REVOLVING FUND) FOR PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES FOR PLANNING FOR TEMPORARY RE-USE OF EXISTING CITY ItALL AND <br />IqRE STATION NO. 2 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 4, 2005, Council authorized staff to solicit a proposal from BKV <br />Group, the City's architects for the new Municipal Center, as well as the past analysis of the existing <br />municipal center facility, to assist with the analysis for demolitiun and/or renovation of the existing <br />municipal center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, BKV Group provided a proposal that would explore the renovation/demolition <br />options for the Municipal Center facility and address the continued operation of Fire Station No. 2 on the <br />site and the proposal was approved at the regular meeting of November 7, 2005; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, since that time, staff has met with BKV representatives regarding the project and it <br />has become apparent that additional planning for the eventual re-construction of Fire Station No. 2 may <br />be warranted at this time; and <br /> <br /> WH ~;REAS, BKV Group has submitted a revised proposal that would include site assessment <br />and concept planning for Fire Station No. 2. <br /> <br />NOW TI~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C1'[¥ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF ~SOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council authorizes contracting with the BKV Group to assist with the <br />analysis for the temporary re-use of the existing municipal center and site assessment and <br />concept planning for Fire Station No. 2 in an amount of $I0,500, plus expenses. <br />That the funding source for the services is the Equipment Revolving Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and' upon vote being taken thgreon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />And the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />And the following abstained: <br /> <br />And the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 25t~ day of April 2006. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />-358- <br /> <br /> <br />
