The following is a brief surnmary of actions <br />taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Site Plan and Business Subsidy Agreement with Riverside Manufacturing, Inc: <br />The City Council approved a business subsidy in the amount of $150,000.00 to Riverside <br />Manufacturing Inc. to construct a 30,000 square foot manufacturing/office facility. Riverside <br />Manufacturing will be bringing 18 jobs to Ramsey and will be required to create at least 6 new <br />jobs earning at least $15.00 per hour. Utilizing TIF dollars, the City will be writing down the <br />cost of the land and paying for public improvements in the area. Riverside Manufacturing w/Il <br />not receive any direct cash payment from the City as part of this agreement. Later in the <br />evening, the Council approved the site plan for the business. <br />Final Plat and Vacation of Easement for Brookfield 2 Additto . <br />The City Council approved the Brookfield 2nd Addition plat, which will create 72 urban single <br />family lots. As part of their action, they all introduced an ordinance to vacate drainage and <br />utility easements on a lot in Now and Then Estates that is part of plat. The plat of Brook_field 2na <br />Addition will develop the lots adjacent to Nowthen Blvd. and provide for direct access to <br />Nowthen Blvd. and connect to existing Garnet St. At this point, the Northwest sewer and water <br />project has just begun and tt won t b until fall that houses will start going up in this area. (For <br />more information about the Northwest sewer and water extension, go to <br />http://www.ci.ramse¥.mn.us/departments/Public Works/eneineerin~.asp ) <br /> <br />Request for an Interim Use Permit to Maintain Two Dwellings on One Parcel; Case of Michael <br />and Nancy Benz <br />The City Council approved the 6-month Interim Use Permit for Mr. and Mrs. Benz to have two <br />dwellings on their property as they construct their new home. <br />Request for an Interim Use Permit to Allow for the Operation of a Church in the E-I <br />Employment District; Case of Ramsey Assembly of God <br />The City Council approved the three-year Interim Use Permit for the Ramsey Assembly of God <br />church to have an office and worstfip space in an industrial building. The City Council shared <br />the Planning Commission's concerns about parking on Sunfish Lake Blvd. and instructed staffto <br />contact Anoka County to install No Parking signs on Sunfish Lake Blvd. <br /> <br />39 <br /> <br /> <br />
