The Council is reminded all too often that the <br />citizens expect their roadways to be maintained and their <br />investment protected. <br /> <br />For years little or no attention has been given to the <br />storm water control system and as a result the "high water <br />years" yield flooding and damage to property. Many of the <br />areas that we call wetlands are intended to be part of an <br />overall drainage system, but with the lack of maintenance <br />these areas serve to dam water and create the problems <br />mentioned above. Ramsey is truly fortunate in that the <br />soils are very light and sandy which limits the duration <br />of the problems of flooding.
