Councilmmmbe r <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> RESf~UTION #88- <br /> <br /> ~tEREAS, it is the desire o~ the Ramsey City Council to clearly state <br />the policy relating to the use of the Ramsey Municipal Center to serve as <br />guidance to the City Staff and the general public; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the special rights and <br />privileges of the senior citizen group as a result of Federal funding for <br />remooeling costs to the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />NOW ~li~tEFORE, BE IT RESCLVED BY ~ CITY COUNCIL OF '11i~ CITY OF RAF£EY, ANOKA <br />COUNtry, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the following policy shall govern the use of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center: <br /> <br />Use and Prfority of Use: <br />The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative, police, and fire <br />f~nctlons of the City of Ramsey. Ad~itional£y, the Ramsey Municipal Center <br />sen, es as official location for the various public meetings of the City Council <br />anG other governmental bogies. <br />Within the Bamsey Municipal Center the following rooms may be available for <br />public use in accordance with this policy: <br /> <br />Council Chandlers East* <br />Council Chambers West* <br />Lower Level North <br />Lower Level Southeast** <br />Lower Level Southwest** <br /> (Lower Level South combined) <br /> <br />494 square feet; 33 persons <br />520 square feet; 35 persons <br />1,275 square feet; 85 persons <br />800 square feet; 53 persons <br />625 square feet; 42 persons <br />1,425 ,sguare feet; 95 persons <br /> <br /> *can De combined <br />**can be combined <br /> <br />The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: <br /> <br />I) Governmental functions: <br /> <br />a) Offices and City Council <br />b) Planning and Zor~ing Commission and Board of Adjustment <br />c) Ail other Con~..issions <br />d) Sub-com~.ittees of City Council or Commissions <br />e) A~inistrative <br /> <br />2) Organized groups.: <br /> <br />a) Senior citizen groups <br /> Note: The lower !e~Tel south was parti~_lly funded with Federal <br /> funds for senior citizens. Tnls .speciric area is available <br /> to senior citizen groups with minimal reservations <br /> described in this policy. <br />b) Groups performing a public service (e.g., AA, }~diation Services, <br /> educational services, etc.) <br />c) Groups whose purpose is to perform public service (e.g., Boy <br /> Scouts, .Girl Scouts, Ramsey Youth At~.le~ic Association) <br />d) Groups who wis~ to use the facility for recreation or routine <br /> meetings <br /> <br /> <br />
