Co%mucilmember introduced the ~ollowing resolution and moved for its adoption: RES(X;JrION ~88- RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS ARD SPCCIFICATIONS Ah~ ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (~87-19 CON~'i'~3CTION OF AN ~.MVAT~3 WA2'~ STORAGE TANK) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 14, 1987, the City Engineer, Mr. Peter R. RaatikKa of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of an elevated water storage tank and has presented such plans and specifications to the City Council for approval. NOW ~d~LREFORE, BE IT RESC~V~D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF '1~; CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto an~ made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) The City A~ministrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on Aprll 5, 19~8 at wnlch time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City A~ministrator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on April 12, 1988 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City A~uinistrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable ,to the City of Ramsey for flve (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by CotLncilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the foll~.ing voted against the same: and the following -~_bstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of ~krch, 1988.
