CHAPTER 268. CHARITABLE GAMBLING <br /> <br />268.10. In general. Lawful gambling conducted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, <br />Chapter 349 shall be operated in accordance with the conditions prescribed in <br />this chapter and other applicable provisions of the Minneapolis Code of <br />Ordinances. {87-0r-006, s. 1, 1-23-87) <br /> <br />268.20. Notice; approval or <br />Board shall notify the city <br />of each pending application <br />{30} days before issuing or <br />a license shall be approved <br />{87-0r-006, s. 1, 1-23-87) <br /> <br />disapproval. The Minnesota Charitable Gambling <br />council in writing in the manner required by law <br />for a charitable gambling license at least thirty <br />renewing the license. Each pending application for <br />or disapproved by resolution of the city council. <br /> <br />268.30. Authorized forms of gambling. All forms of lawful gambling may be <br />approved by the city council subject to the terms and conditions of this <br />chapter and all provisions of statute. (87-0r-006, s. 1, 1-23-87; 87-0r-168, <br />s. 1, 9-11-87; 88-0r-005, s. 1, 1-15-88) <br />268.35. Location. Lawful gambling under license issued by the Minnesota <br />Charitable Gambling Control Board may be conducted only at the following <br />locations: <br /> <br />{a) In the licensed organization's hall where it has its regular meetings. <br />No organization shall rent, lease, or occupy, directly or indirectly, any <br />other property for the purpose of conducting gambling, except an on-sale <br />establishment as permitted in this chapter; <br /> <br />(b) In licensed on-sale liquor, wine, and beer establishments; <br /> <br />{c) Notwithstanding subsections (a) and {b) above, Class D {raffle only} <br />licenses may be approved for any proper location; <br /> <br />(d) No location shall be approved for gambling unless it complies with the <br />applicable zoning, building, fire, and health codes of the City of <br />Minneapolis. {88-0r-005, s. 2, 1-15-88} <br /> <br />268.40. Conditions. The conduct of lawful gambling under license issued by the <br />Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control Board shall be subject to the following <br />conditions in the City of Minneapolis: <br /> <br />(a) No sale, consumption, or possession of liquor, wine, or 3.2 beer shall <br />be permitted during gambling conducted by a licensed organization, except as <br />permitted under a valid on-sale liquor, wine, or 3.2 beer license, or a bottle <br />club permit; provided further that no sale, consumption, or possession of <br />liquor wine, or 3.2 beer shall be permitted in the room where a bingo session <br />is taking place. <br /> <br />(b) No organization shall be eligible for a gambling license unless, for <br />the three {3} years immediately preceding the date of application, it has had <br />an office in the City of Minneapolis, and demonstrates that during that period <br />it has performed substantial services within the City of Minneapolis or on <br />behalf of residents of Minneapolis. <br /> <br />MUNICIPAL iNFORMATION LIBRARY <br />302 City Hall <br />Minneapolis,, I~n~,(Ra 65~.3.5 <br /> <br /> <br />
