SEX <br /> ANOKA COUR~l"f <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning CommiSsion conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, February 2, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Tom Cuyer's request for a wild <br />animal license. <br />Members Present; Mr. Cerald Zimmerman, Chairman Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br /> Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br /> Also Present: Community Development DirectOr Anne ~orris <br /> City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Roy Sbumway <br /> <br />~ALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />Mr. Tom Guyer - Stated he is requesting a wild animal license to keep two <br />bears on his property. Mr. Guyer presented photos of the 35' x 45' x 8.5'H <br /> · closure. Mr. Guyer stated that his property is 2.33 acres in size <br />anxmal en . · ..... :--o~olv 200 feet from the nearest house. <br />Er. Guyer stated that the male bear is 5 years old and weighs 450 pounds; <br />the female bear is one year old and weighs 80 pounds; and that both bears <br /> Tim Klingbeil - 15430 Sunfish Lake Blvd. - Stated that the rear wall of the <br /> enclosure is built into the land and is only approximately 3 feet above <br /> ground level and inquired if a building permit is required for such a <br /> Ms. Norris replied that any structure less than 120 square feet does .not <br /> require a building pe.-mit. <br /> Mr. Guyer - Stated that he did not apply for a building permit for the <br /> Tim Klingbeil - Stated he is concerned with the accessibility of the 3 foot <br /> rear enclosure wall and unsanitary conditions caused by produce scraps <br /> placed in the enclosure for the bears.
