Streets shall be constructed which ara graded and paved <br />~n accordance with specifications provided by the City Engineer <br />provided, however, that when sanitary sewer mains are not to be <br />installed within the subdivision, the Council, in its discretion, <br />may waive the requirements that such streets be paved. In the <br />event such waiver is granted, the owner or subdivider shall <br />deposit with the City a sum of money equivalent to the Engineer's <br />estimated cost of such paving. <br /> Curb and Gutter. Concrete curb and gutter shall be installed in <br /> :hose subdivisions where sanitary sewer water and paved streets <br /> are required. <br /> Storm Drainage. A system of drainage that will adequately take <br /> care of the w~ter runoff within the subdivision shall be provided. <br /> In the event it is feasible to connect to existing storm sewer <br /> systems, storm sewer mains within the subdivision shall be <br /> installed. <br /> Water. Water mains and service connections stubbed in to the <br /> .property line shall be installed to serve all lots in the <br /> subdivision when the location of such plat is within an area of <br /> the City which is either being assessed for water service or <br /> within which contracts for such service have been awarded by the <br /> Council. The Council, in its discretion, may waive the <br /> application of this portio~,of the ordinance upon a showing that <br /> to require the installation of water mains within the subdivision <br /> would not be feasible with regard to the extension of existing <br /> trunk mains to service the subdivision or that the particular <br /> locations or unusual circumstances of the proposed plat would <br /> cause undue hardship to either the owner or subdivider or the <br /> City. <br /> Street Traffic Control Signals. If deemed necessary by the City <br /> Engineer and City Council, th~ owner or subdivider shall install <br /> street traffic control signals. The signalization shall be <br /> constructed in conjunction with the street unless the City <br /> Council grants a waiver to delay signalization. In the event <br /> such waiver is granted, the owner or subdivider shall deposit <br /> with the City a sum of money equivalent to the Engineer's <br /> estimated cost of the signalization. <br /> Easement Acquisition- Prior to the time of construction, the <br /> owner or subdivider shall obtain all easements required for the <br /> project. At the time the project is complete and turned over to <br /> the City, all easements shall be deeded to the City. In the <br /> event the subdivider requires easements outside his plat, he may <br /> request the City to take over that portion of the project and <br /> construct the project as a City project. <br /> <br /> <br />
