Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:49 p.m. in order to call the continued public hearing to order. Chairperson Nixt called the continued public hearing to order at 7:49 p.m. Presentation Assistant Communit~ Development Director Frolik stated the City has received an application from Cingular Wireless to construct and operate a monopole communication tower, intended to fill a gap in Cingular's wireless phone network. The proposed tower will be located at 6405 Green Valley Road on property owned by Jeffrey and Caroline Rowe. The public hearing for the request was continued to the April Planning Commission meeting due to the need for a variance and a revised site plan from the applicant. Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated towers are permitted in residential districts as long as they are located in the Tower Overlay District and are at least 10 acres in size. The subject property is located within the Tower Overlay District but does not meet the minimum lot size of !0 acres. A variance to the lot size was granted earlier this evening. Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated staff recommends approval of the CUP request. Citizen Input There was none. Motion by. Commissioner Levine, seconded by Commissioner Nix't, to close the public hearing. Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Braner, Cleveland, Hunt, and Trites Kolle. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Van Scoy.'
