April 13, 2006
Mr. Jon Rowe
Green Valley Greenhouse
exception of a small area in the southeast comer. The current rate is based on calculations taken fi.om
aerial photos flown prior to 2000. The new calculations are based on aerial photos flown in April 2003.
We have enclosed a copy of the calculation sheet from 2000 for your reference.
Our observations indicate that additional buildings and walkways have been added to the site since the
initial assessment. The previous rate was based on 16 acres with 55% impervious cover and a 50% credit
because the business and the residence were connected. Platting the residential property removes the 50%
credit. The new rate is based on 37.34 acres with 33% impervious cover. The new rate is $2461.46 /
quarter. A credit method is available for properties that meet any/all of the following criteria:

1. Area larger than 20 acres with less than 10% impervious
2. Rate of Discharge (Storm water pond on rte, installed and maintained by property owner)
3. Wet P0nding (Pond on site that is designed to hold water between Storm events)
Your site does not meet any of these criteria. Most of the site appears to drain to a low area near the
southeast comer of the site that traps water before it overflows, however this depression is on the adjacent
site.
We will be forwarding this information to Cormexus Energy the first week of May for inclusion in the
next billing cycle. Please feel fi.ce to contact the city with questions regarding this cha.qge in your storm
water utility charges.

Sincerely,

Civil Engineer II

Enc.
