Ftinimum 115 or 124 dbc. <br /> <br />3. Minimum of two signals with capability of Et least one future signal <br /> at no or minimal cost. <br /> <br />4. Battery (DC) o~erated back-up system. <br /> <br />5. Complete installation of new system. <br /> <br />6. Must comply with all applicable government regulatory specifications, <br /> particularly FEFI~ and OSHA. <br /> <br />7. Must be comparable with Healy ~ff radio tone activation system <br /> currently installed. <br /> <br />8. Bid bond and two year performance bond. <br /> <br />9. Expedient and reliable parts and service. <br /> <br />A. Warning sirens shall each produce a minimum of 115 dbc or 124 dbc, <br /> based on designation in Item Q of these requirements, measured in the <br /> signal tone format at 100 feet. Rotating speed shall not be less than <br /> 2.0 nor more than 4.0 revolutions per minute. All measurements shall <br /> be conducted in free-field conditions at a minimum of 40 feet above <br /> ground level on axis. Prior to final acceptance, tests by an <br /> ~ndependent laboratory or consultinc firm are recuired to verify <br /> coms!i~nce to the accoustic s~ificatio~$, siren may be of the. <br /> rotating or oscillating t~pe but k~ST cover a 360 degree area. <br /> <br />B. Warning sirens shall comply with the FE-~,~A Outdoor Warning System~ <br /> Guide, ~S 1-17. ~nis guide requires an ATTACK WARAq!k~ which is a 3 to <br /> 5 minute wavering tone, and an Ak'I~NTION or .ALERT WARN-lNG which is a 3 <br /> to 5 minute steady signal. Once the alert signal attains a peak in <br /> frequency, tlqe frequency of the signal shall not sweep or fluctuate. <br /> In order to meet the monthly test reg.uirement, the siren m~ust be <br /> progr~T~i~abie for a ~STEM TEST which is a 1 minute steady tone. <br /> <br /> C. Siren controls must be eguipped with an adjustable timer which <br /> autcr.~atica!iy cancels after th.? present i to 5 r'~_nute durations. Each <br /> control sfna!l have pr~-ision for-at least one additional signal for <br /> <br /> <br />
