Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> introduced the following resolution and <br />RESOLUTION ~88-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 88-15 ANOKA SPORTS CENTER <br />SITE IMPROVEMENT) <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey city Council <br />on April 12, 1988, the city Engineer, Mr. Pete Raatikka of Hakanson <br />Anderson Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and Specifications for <br />improvement Project 88-15 Anoka Sports Center site Improvements and <br />has presented such plans and specification to the Council for <br />approval. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> 2) That the city Administrator shall prepare and cause to be <br /> inserted in the official paper (Anoka County Union) and the <br /> Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of <br /> such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br /> advertisement shall be published for 10 days, shall specify the work <br /> to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the city <br /> Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on May 23, 1988, at which time they <br /> will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br /> Municipal Center by the city Administrator and city Engineer, will <br /> then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey city Council <br /> 7:30 p.m. on May 24, 1988 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder <br /> ~ose resp. onsibi!ity is q~.estioned..durin.g_con_sider..ation==o_f t. he bid <br /> will be given an opportunity to a~ress ~ne ~ouncl- on ~n~ issue of <br /> responsibility· No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed <br /> with the city Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, <br /> cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of <br /> Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br /> seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br /> thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstalned. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey Cl~y Council ~hls the _~h day of May, 1988. <br /> <br /> <br />
