PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />FOBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANCKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />T~e?~lay, April 5, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. David Hauan's request for a <br />conditional use pemit to construct and operate a recreational center and <br />to construct an advertising sign. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zi~nerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shtm~ay <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Terry Hendrik~en <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Develol=nent Director Anne Norris <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />~. Jim Holm <br />Fz. Jim Howell <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Hauan was present and stated he is requesting a conditional use permit <br />to operate a recreational center at 14622 Ferret Street N.W. that will <br />include b~nper boats, go-cart track, miniature golf and a roller rink. <br /> <br />There was no other citizen input. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner TmDue and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: ~chael Powers, owner of a parcel in HY-10 Ramsey, <br />inquired as to how the proposed realignment of the Burlington Northern <br />railroad tracks would impact Mr. Hauan's deve!ol:ment. Chairman Zimmerman <br />replied that he did not know what the impact would be as City Council has <br />not consulted with Planning and zoning r~arding the proposed real ignment. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Vo~ln~ Yes: Chairman Zimmenr~an, Commissioners Shumway, <br />Terry, Hendriksen, Imbue. Voting No: None.
