Jean Schlueter, 15011 <br />Juniper Ridge Drive, noted that she had just presented a petition to the <br />City Council for the Rum Acres Estates and Gorham's Sandy Acres requesting <br />that the City Engineer do a study on the impact of municipal water on these <br />existing subdivisions. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimnerman noted that the Cormnission held a public hearing on this <br />matter on April 5, !988. Scblueter commented that she was concerned <br />that the citizens seem to be the last to 'know; didn't the Council make a <br />comm/tment to the developers of River's Bend and Flintwood Hills to not <br />ex%sand the urban developnent until the existing urban areas are complete? <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Holm to table <br />action on the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment pending direction from <br />the City Council as to whether Planning Commission input is desired. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner LaDue suggested that the motion be <br />amended to include a request that the City Engineer provide a report as to <br />the impact on existing subdivisions of the extension of utilities to that <br />area. Commissioners Shumway and Holm agreed to amend their motion to <br />include this request. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
