Chairman Zimmerman asked whether the plat was of a magnitude <br />to require an EAW and requested staff to check on that. <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to <br />recommend that Mr. Car~ proceed with the preliminary plat with the <br />following revisions: <br /> <br /> a. 169th Avenue N.W. be extended to connect with Baugh Street; <br /> b. 169th Avenue N.W. be widened to 66 feet; <br /> c. Anoka County be contacted regarding plans for County Road 83; and <br /> d. Park Commission review of the proposed plat. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Zinmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Holm, LaDue, Shumway and Terry. Voting no: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />Howell. <br /> <br />Case %12: R~uest for site plan review: case of North Star Encineerin~: <br />~o Jim Fillipe r~presenting North Star Engineering was present and <br />reviewed the proposed project with the Commission. Mr. Fillipe noted that <br />they were negotiating with ~flOT for a right turn in, right turn out only <br />access on to State Highway 47, with two accesses to the project from !42nd <br />Avenue N.W. Ms. Norris commented that if any access is permitted on to <br />State Highway 47, it should accommodate any future development to the <br />north. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman noted that Commission approval should be contingent on <br />access from State Highway 47 allowing for access to the property to the <br />north of the subject property. Ms. Norris noted that as the property is <br />located in the Scenic River Overlay district, the project needs a variance <br />to the impervious surface coverage 1Lv.~tations. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner ShumwaY and seconded by Commissioner Terry to <br />reCOmmit-nd approval of the site plan proposed by North Star Engineering <br />provided: 1) the access off State Highway 47 allows for access to the <br />property to the north ~nd 2) the applicants meet or obtain a variance to <br />the impe. rvious surface coverage requirements. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
