Motion by Councilm~mber Cox and seconded by Cou~cilmember DeLuca to reduce <br />the Houde property valuation by a 1/2 classification. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />M~ke Mu~k~ - FIN #10-32-25-11-0006 - 6508 171st Lane N.W. - <br /> <br />Stated that he paid $79,000 for his home 1-1/2 years ago and now the <br />valuation is $90,000 and the only improvement he has made to the property <br />is planting grass. Mr. Muske stated that he was also told at the time of <br />the closing on his home that he would be receiving property tax credits <br />because power lines divide his property in half and the onlypermitted use <br />allowed on that 150 foot power easement is agriculture. <br /> <br />Mr. Gordy Starkynotedthat the 1987 valuation for the Muske property was <br />$86,400; that was increased to $90,000 in 1988. Mr. Starky also noted that <br />the County-wide increase to replacement cost does affect some home <br />classifications more than others. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to reduce the <br />~skepropertyvaluationbyal/2 classification. <br /> <br />YDtion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Henry Messer - PIN #11-32-25-42-0009 - 5936 168th Lane N.W. - <br /> <br />Mr. Messer stated that his property valuation has been assessed at <br />$126,000; a realtor's appraisal of the property was approximately $31,000 <br />less than that. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz stated that the valuation was computed at a slab-home rate; the <br />construction of the new garage increased the valuation by $10,400. <br /> <br />Mrs. Messer noted that the 1987 valuation was $102,000; the addition of a <br />garage brings that figure to $112,400; how did the assessor arrive at <br />$126,0007 <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz replied that the ¥~sser's have 2580 square feet; the replacement <br />cost for their particular class of home increased by $4.47/square foot. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson directing <br />the City Assessor to reduce the F~sser classification in such a way that <br />the property valuation will be reduced by $10,000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: F~yor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuce and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Glen & Carol A~$~nt - PIN #08-32-25-11-0005 - 8120 173rd Avenue N.W. - <br /> <br />Mr. Anselment stated that his i~88 prcperty valuation is $71,300 and he <br />doesn't think he could sell his home for $50,000. <br /> <br />~I.
