CC Regular Session
Meeting Date:
Primary Strategic Plan Initiative:
5. 9.
07/ 11 /2023
Create a positive image for residential neighborhoods, business districts and key
corridors.
Information
Title
Adopt Resolution #23-152 - Approving an Encroachment Agreement for a Monument Sign in the Lynwood
Subdivision
Purpose/Background:
The approved and recorded final plat of Lynwood (adjacent to the south of Fire Station #1) included several
outlots for the common area of the townhome association. These outlots were platted with blanket drainage and
utility easements. The developer, Lennar, is trying to obtain permits to construct a neighborhood monument sign
at the northwest corner of Armstrong Boulevard and 149th Lane NW. The proposed monument sign design is
typical for a residential subdivision, though it was not included on the approved site plans. The proposed sign
location does not interfere with any existing public or private utilities.
Notification:
No notification is required.
Observations/Alternatives:
Alternatives to consider:
1. Approve the encroachment agreement as recommended by staff.
2. Approve the encroachment agreement with any changes the City Council deems appropriate.
3. Deny the encroachment agreement as the sign was not shown on the approved development plans.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the encroachment agreement.
Action:
Motion to adopt Resolution #23-152 Approving an Encroachment Agreement for a Monument Sign in the
Lynwood Subdivision
ACTION - Resolution #23-152
Encroachment Agreement.
Attachments
Form Review
Inbox Reviewed By Date
Brian Hagen Brian Hagen 07/06/2023 11:35 AM
Form Started By: Todd Larson Started On: 06/28/2023 11:16 AM
Final Approval Date: 07/06/2023
