Mr. Norman replied no, this is a global study. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere asked if it is the intent we will adhere to the findings. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman responded it is a study - maybe this Council won't use any of the ideas - and <br />maybe the next Council will. The intent is the long range blue print - it can be used for many <br />years to come. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fischer commented that long range planning is great but you also need to have a <br />five year plan, a ten year plan, etc. Sometimes things end up having to happen sooner rather than <br />later. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br /> 1. Schedule Charter Commission Meeting <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to schedule the next Charter Commission meeting for <br />Monday, May 22, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. It will be to strictly discuss Chapter 8 and review the <br />language brought forth by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Chairperson Vogt suggested the Commission Input portion could be to set the agenda(s) for the <br />fall of the year. The topics could include review of Chapter 4.5, review of State Statute 4.10 and <br />4.12, review of the organizational study, and receipt of the model charter discussed at the <br />meeting with Kevin Frazell of the League. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />The Charter Commission meeting was adjourned at 7:47 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Jo Ann M.
