Conncitmember introduced the following resolntion and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 06-05-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT NO. 89336, A JOINT POWERS <br />AGiLEEMENT WITIl TI-iE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TR~NSPORTATION <br />THE CITY OF ANOKA., THE CiTY OF R~MSEY, AND BURNS TOWNStlIP FOR <br />PR OFESSIO NAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, City of Anoka, MnDOT, Anoka County and Bnrns <br />Township have indicated a desire to work collaboratively on solving the issue of traffic <br />congestion of Trunk Highway 47, and; <br /> <br />¥'~ IILREAS, the City of Ralnsey understands that Trunk Highway 47 provides economic <br />vitality to its community and is a regiunal transportation corridor. <br /> <br />NOW TI-IEREFOFIE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF <br />RA,¥ISEY, ANOiC~-',. COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That tbe City of Ramscy City Council enter into a Joint Powers Agreement for Alignment <br />Concepts, Preliminary Design, Environmental Review and Official Mapping of Tfi 47 <br />bebveen CSA[-[ 22 (Viking Boulevard) aud TH 10 in Anoka Connty, Asreement Number <br />89336, with the State of Minnesota Department of Transportatiou and Anoka County, the <br />City o£du~oka, and Bums Township for the lbllowing purpose, to wit: <br /> <br />Aligm~mnt concepts for at least tN'ce (3) alternative ali~maments, an Environmeutal <br />Assessment Worksheet (EAW) Level One Geometric Layout, and Official Mapping for <br />TH 47 fi'om approximately CSA}J 22 (Viking Boulevard)to the intersection o£TH 10 <br />and with consideration for access modifications, and commotion to TH 10, with analysis <br />of local street connections and improved circulation for vehicles, trucks, bicyclists and <br />pedestrians. <br /> <br />2) That the Mayor and the City Administrator are attthorized to execute such agreement. <br /> <br />The motion fbr the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmcmber <br />___, and npon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the followiug voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and thc following were absent: <br /> <br />-232- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> Page 1 o1'2 <br /> <br /> <br />
