If the spill has reached a storm drain system, the Public Works Supervisor shall <br />block the outlet by sand bagging or other appropriate methods. <br /> <br />Upon containment of the spill, the City will require the persons responsible to <br />clean-up the spill immediately. Clean-up of spills shall be made by use of <br />absorptive materials such as sand, straw, hay, commercial products, etc. Flushing <br />of spilled materials with water will not be permitted, unless approved by the MPCA. <br />All City expenses incurred relating to the spill shall be paid by the parties <br />responsible for the spill. <br /> <br />4) SPILL PREVENTION MEASURES <br /> <br /> The City shall notify and distribute copies of this plan to all <br />present and future businesses and industries which potentially could spill <br />environmentally hazardous materials into bodies of water. <br /> <br /> Futhermore, it will be the owners responsibility to inspect and <br />maintain all storage vessels and equipment used in handling sewage, chemicals, <br />petroleum products and any other environmentally hazarSous materials. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br /> Councilman Cox , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof' <br /> Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and Sorteberg <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 26th day of Nov. , 1979. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
