a) The Act tends to force small businesses out of business because of an unproportionate tax burden which cannot be passed on to the consumer, b) During this inflationary/recessionary period of time, the Act's negative aspects are particularly significant and troublesome. o) The Act applies only to the Metropolitan Area and there- fore, its repeal and the ramifications therefrom will of course, not be state-wide. 2) That it is directed that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners be furnished a copy of this resolution. 3) That it is directed that the following State officials be fur- nished a copy of this resolution: 1. Governor Albert H. Quie 2. Senate Majority Leader Roger Moe 3. Senate Minority Leader Robert Ashbach 4. State Senator Randy Peterson 5. Speaker of the House of Representatives Harry Siebens 6. House Minority Speaker Glen Sherwood 7. Representative John Weaver 8. Commissioner of Revenue Clyde Allen AND FURTHER, the City of Ramsey be advised as to what action the above appointed and elected officials will be taking on this major issue and that this information be supplied to the City within fifteen (15) days of receipt of this document. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers~Cox, Reimann, Sorteberg and Van Wagner and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of December, 1981.
