MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES <br /> <br />Every member "in good standing" of the Association shall be entitled to vote and enjoy the <br />benefits and all privileges of the Association. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. STATE FIREMEN'S BENEFIT ASSOCIATION <br /> <br />As a condition of acceptance and continued membership in this Association, members <br />who are active members of the Ramsey Fire Department agree to membership in the <br />Volunteer Firemen's Benefit Association of Minnesota and to authorize a deduction from <br />the member's Fire Department Association dues for payment of dues prescribed by the <br />State Association. Benefits payable by the State Association are subject to its applicable <br />rules and are in addition to any benefits payable by the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Fighter's <br />Relief Association. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP <br /> <br />Active members may be expelled from the Association for cause by a two-thirds vote of all <br />the members at a regular or special meeting. Notice of the meeting and a written <br />statement of the particular charges shall be given to the member at least 5 days excluding <br />the date of the meeting, in advance of the meeting. The member shall be given an <br />opportunity to be heard at the meeting. Cause for termination shall include, but not be <br />limited to, failure to account for money belonging to the Association, feigning illness or <br />injury for the purpose of defrauding the Association. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. BENEFIT CLAIM PROCEDURE <br /> <br />The Board of Trustees shall act upon all applications for benefits provided for in these By- <br />Laws.
