Defined conlribution <br /> <br />rendered by those officers during the prior year. All other Board members shall receive a <br />nominal fixed payment from the General Fund for each Board meeting attended. The <br />amount shall be recommended by the Board to the membership and approved by the <br />membership at their Annual Association Meeting. Administrative expenses incurred by <br />Board members in fulfilling their administrative responsibilities shall be paid from the <br />Special Fund. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. POWERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES <br /> <br />The Board of Trustees shall have exclusive control and management of all funds received <br />by the Association and shall constitute the governing body of said Association with full <br />power and authority to carry out the objectives and purposes of the Association and <br />pursuant to the laws of the State of Minnesota. A quorum for the Board of Trustees shall <br />be two-thirds of its membership. <br /> <br />All applications for relief or benefits shall be presented to the Secretary of the Association <br />for action by the Board of Trustees. Such applications shall be made in the form and <br />manner required by the Board. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. PRESIDENT'S DUTY <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of this Association, to sign <br />checks for the payment of benefits, expenses and investments authorized by the By-laws, <br />Board of Trustees or properly voted by the Association, to sign all certificates and notices <br />as may require his/her signature to authenticate them, and to have general supervision <br />over the Association. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. VICE PRESIDENT'S DUTY <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Vice President to assist the President and in his/her absence to <br />officiate for him/her. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. SECRETARY'S DUTY <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep a correct record of all the meetings of the <br />Association and of the Board of Trustees and of all business transacted by the <br />Association; to keep a list of all members of the Association, showing the date when each <br /> <br />RELIEF ASSN.
