Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to approve the <br />following minutes: <br /> <br />1) Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated July 6, 1999 <br /> <br />2) Planning Commission special meeting minutes dated August 18, 1999 <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Jensen, Kociscak, <br />Dempsey, Johnson, Nixt, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Second Principal Use; Case of <br />Zitco, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:40 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on August 19, 1999, the City received an application <br />from Zitco, Inc. for a conditional use permit to construct and operate self-service mini-storage <br />garages at 6111 Highway #10 Northwest. Zitco is proposing to construct a multi-tenant retail <br />building on Highway #10 and a portion of the building is proposed to be designed with self- <br />service mini-storage garages. They are also proposing to house some additional self-service <br />storage units in an accessory building on the site. City Code does not permit self-service mini- <br />storage in any district and a conditional use permit is required <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Jensen, Nixt, Dempsey, <br />Johnson, Kociscak, and Wivoda.
