Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Michael Sjoquist <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Mike Sjoquist is requesting site plan review to construct <br />an expansion to his shop, Mike's Woodworking. Mike's Woodworking is located at 7520 149t~ <br />Avenue Northwest, in the Pineview Estates 2na Addition P.U.D. She explained that this P.U.D. is <br />to accommodate residences with business operating our of accessory buildings on the site. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that Mike is proposing to construct an 864 square foot <br />addition to the existing 2,964 square foot woodworking shop, for a total shop size of 3,828 <br />square feet. The purpose of the addition is to augment his warehouse space and it is in <br />conformance with the lot coverage restriction. The addition meets all setback requirements. The <br />City Engineer is recommending that a silt fence be used to protect the wetland on the property <br />during construction. The building is proposed to be finished with 8" masonite lap siding like the <br />home and existing business building on the property. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to recommend that City <br />Council approve the proposed site plan for Mike's Woodworking contingent upon compliance <br />with City Staff Review Letter Dated May 24, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Jensen, Wivoda, <br />Dempsey, Johnson, Kociscak, and Nixt. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed Sign Size Restrictions; Case <br />of Dolphin Real Estate <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:37 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on May 17, 1999, the City received an application from <br />Dolphin Real Estate Partnership to exceed the sign size and height restrictions for the new <br />Burger King restaurant in the B-3 Highway Business District on Highway #10. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/June 1, 1999 <br /> Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
