the Board shall constitute a quorum for all pur- <br />poses, but a lesser number may adjourn a <br />meeting from, time to time until a quorum is <br />present., <br />. Section 10.84.2. Vote. Except as provided in <br />Section 1 of this section, all ~ction taken by the <br />Board shall be by a majority vote of all <br />members of/he Board. <br />· Sectian t0.84.3 Manner of Voting. The manner <br />Of voting or1 all questions deciding matters in- <br />volved in an appeal shall be by roll call of the <br />members in attendance. The voting on all other <br />questions before lhe Board shall be by voice <br />vote. The results of all votes shall be recorded <br />in the minutes. Any member of the Board who <br />refuses to vote on roll call shall be recorded as <br />voting in the negative. An abstehtion shall not <br />be re~:orded as ,a negative vole if the member <br />abstaining believes that a conflict of inlerest ex- <br />ists because of his direct involvement in the <br />subject matter under appeal. The chairperson <br />and all members of the Board shall be entitled <br />to vote at every meeting at which they are in <br />attendance. <br /> <br /> SECTION 10.85 <br /> ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> section 10.85.1. Annual Meeting. At the An- <br />nual Meeting of the Board, the following shall <br />be the order of business: <br /> <br /> 2. Approval of minutes of the previous regular <br />or special meeting. · <br /> 3. Election of officers. <br /> 4. Report of the Building Official on matters <br />of general concern lo the Board. <br /> $. Old business. <br /> 6. New business. <br /> 7. Adiournment. <br /> Section 10.85.2. Regular Meetings. At regular <br />meetings of the Board, the following shall be <br />the order Of business: <br /> <br /> 2. Approval of minutes of the previous <br />meeling. - <br /> 3. The order <br />of business at special meetings shall be the <br />same as that at regular meetings~ <br /> SECTION 10.86 <br />APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS <br />Section 10.06.1. Form. Each application and <br />appeal shall be in writing and shall contain such <br />informa, tion as hereinafter prescribed. <br /> Section 10.86.2. Application for Permission to <br />Use Alternate Materials and Methods of Con. <br />struction~ An'application for permission to use <br />alternate materials or methods of construction <br />shall first be submitted to the Building Official <br />for his/her approval or denial and shall in- <br />clude: . <br /> (i) The name~and address off.the applicant, <br />and if the applicant is acting as agent for <br />another, the name and address of the person <br />firm, or corporation for wh~m the applicant is <br />ageqt. <br /> (i!) A descrjptlon of the type of building or <br />strudture and the work to' be performed for <br />which permission ,to use alternate materials or <br />methods is requested. <br /> (iii) A description of the'use and occupancy of <br />the building or structure. <br /> (iv) A citation to the control.ling section or <br />sections of the Uniform Building Code which <br />specify the materials or methods for which <br />alternates are requested. <br /> <br /> (i) The Interpretation or decision of,'the <br />Building Official violates a provision of the <br />Building Code or any other controlling laW or <br />ordinance; or <br /> (ii) The interpretation or decision of' the <br />Building Official exceeds the authority of the <br />Building Official. <br /> Section 10.08.4. Notification al Action. Every <br />final decision of the Board shall be filed with <br />the Building Official and at the time of filing, a <br />duplicate copy shall be mailed to the applicant. <br /> SECTION 10.89 <br /> ADOPTION AND EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br /> Section 10.89.1. AuthorJly for Adoption. These <br /> Rules Of Procedure are authorized by the provi- <br /> sion of Section 204 of the Building Code as <br /> amended by the Ramsay Code at Ordinaqces, <br /> Section 150. <br /> Section 10.89.2. Eflective Date.
