REQUIRED BUFFER AREAS AND SCREENING FOR LANDFILL SITES.

The distance between an operational landfill and other land uses is critical in avoiding scenic blight,
land use compatibility, reduction of land values and nuisances from odor, dust, noise, vibration,
etc. Therefore, the following standards shall guide the review and issuance of conditional use
permits.

ao

Suitable buffer areas, berms, barriers and vegetation shall be provided to minimize
noise, odors, landfill gas migration, public safety, nuisances and other impacts on
adjacent properties.

b.
