SECTION 130.1211 <br /> <br />DENIAL, SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF <br />LICENSE <br /> <br />Any license under this Chapter may be denied, suspended, or revoked for any of the following <br /> <br />reasons: <br /> (a) <br /> (b) <br /> <br />(c) <br />(d) <br />(e) <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />The use conflicts with the Ramsey Zoning Code; <br />The use conflicts with any health, building, building maintenance or provisions of <br />this code of ordinance or state law; <br />The applicant has failed to comply with one or more provisions of this Chapter; <br />Fraud, misrepresentation, or bribery in securing a license; <br />Fraud, misrepresentation or false statements made in the course of the applicant's <br />business; <br />Violation, within the preceding five years, of any law relating to theft, damage or <br />trespass to property, sale of a controlled substance, or operation of business. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. PENALTY. <br /> <br />Any person violating any provision of this ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon <br />conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) or <br />imprisonment for not more than Ninety (90) days or both. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its publication <br />according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.04. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. ORDINANCE PUBLICATION SUMMARY. <br /> <br />The following official summary of Ordinance gO0-15 has been approved by the City Council of the <br />City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of said Ordinance, to wit: It <br />is the intent and effect of Ordinance g90-15 to require licenses for pawnbrokers and secondhand <br />goods dealers, both of which are defined in the ordinance. The Ordinance further provides for a <br />nonrefundable investigation fee and annual license fee. The Ordinance further provides for an <br />application procedure, requires each licensee to keep and maintain certain records and requires that <br />said records be made available in police department inspections. <br />A printed copy of the full text of Ordinance g90-15 is available for inspection by any person at the <br />City Municipal Center. <br /> <br />The Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (39~ days after publi, c. miqn according <br />to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.04. <br /> <br />ATTES <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Introduction date: June 25. 1990 <br />Posting dates: June 26. 1990 through luly 10, 1990 <br />Adoption date: July 10. 1990 <br />Publication date: July IF, 1990 <br />Effective date: August 12, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
