Subd. ? rea~s, Interrupted Service bN~ claim shall be made against the City for interruption of service caused by thc aking of any watcrmain or service pipe or fixture. St~bd. 8. Water Connections Prohibited ~ a.I No more than one house or building or in the case of townhouses, one unit, ~ shall be supplied from one water service pipe except by special permission of the City. Whenever two or more parties are supplied from one pipe connecting with the distribution main, each building or part of the building must have a ~ separate stop box at the curb. No water pipe of the municipal water system shall be connected with any pump, well pipe or tank that is connected with any source other than the City water ! system. When such are found, the City shall notify the customer to disconnect , same, and if not done immediately, the City water supply shall be turned off. c. i Any customer of the City that desires to use the resident's own well system in r conjunction with use of City water, that well system must be completely disconnected from the City water and sewer utilities. Said well system shall only supply spigots located on the outside of the residence or building or to yard hydrants. Water obtained from those spigots shall only be used for watering lawns, gardens and shrubs, washing cars and other such uses and only in such a manner that none of the drainage from such use goes into the City sewer system. Su[bd. 9. Maintenance Tl~ service pipe to the stop box (curb stop) and the connection thereto shall be the property of the customer and must be protected and maintained by the customer. In th~ event such customer shall fail to make necessary repairs to such service cohnection or pipe within twenty-four (24) hours after being notified by the City to dolso, the City shall make such repairs and the cost thereof shall be charged to the cut~tomer and shall be collected in the same manner as other bills for water consumption are collected. i Su~d. 10. Sprinkling; Limitations Municipal Water System !Th$ use of lawn hoses is permitted at all hours of the day, but in case of fire in any ar~ served by the municipal water system, all lawn hoses must be shut off and all otlier unnecessary use of water must be stopped. Whenever the City shall deZrmine that a shortage of water supply threatens the City, it may, by published no~ice and/or radio and television notice, limit the times and hours during which [waier may be used from the City water system for lawn or garden sprinkling, irfi~ation, car washing, swimming pools, air conditioning or other uses. Notice of fa viplation of the published notice shall be mailed to the violator and violation of the I malled notice is hereby prohibited. Any water customer who shall cause or permit iwaier to be used in violation of the provisions of said notice two days after it's ~mailing may have water service discontinued. Page6
