- 10 - <br /> <br />OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS <br /> <br />The liquid capacity of a septic tank serving an establishment other than a <br />dwelling shall be sufficient to provide a sewage detention period of not less <br />than thirty-six (36) hours in the tank for flows less than one thousand five <br />hundred (1,500) gallons per day, but in no instance shall the liquid capacity be <br />less than one thousand (1,000) gallons. For flows greater than one thousand <br />five hundred (1,500) gallons per day, the minimum liquid capacity shall equal <br />one thousand one hundred twenty-five (1,125) gallons plus seventy-five percent <br />(75%°) of the daily sewage flow rate, which shall be determined by measurement <br />or estimated from data provided by the agency. <br /> <br />Subd. 4 LOCATION <br /> <br /> 1. The sewage tank shall be placed so that access is convenient for <br />the removal of liquids and accumulated solids. <br /> <br /> 2. The sewage tank shall be placed on firm and settled soil capable <br />of bearing the weight of the tank and its contents. <br /> <br /> 3. Sewage tanks shall be set back the following distances from the <br />features given below. <br /> <br /> Feature <br />Water Supply Well <br /> and Buried Water <br /> Suction Pipe <br />Buried Pipe Distributing Water <br /> Waer under Pressure <br />Buildings <br />Property Lines <br /> <br />Minimum Setback Distances (feet) <br /> 5o <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />10 <br />10 <br /> <br /> 4. Sewage tanks shall be set back the following distances if located <br />in an area of the city which has been designated as follows by local, state or <br />federal regulation. <br /> <br /> Regulation <br />Natural Environment <br />Lakes and Rivers <br />Recreational Development <br />Lakes and Rivers <br />General Development <br /> Lakes and Rivers <br />Wild Rivers <br />Critical Rivers <br />Designated Tributaries <br /> of Wild Scenic and <br /> Recreational Rivers <br /> <br />Minimum Setback Distances (feet) <br /> 150' <br /> <br />75* <br /> <br />5O* <br /> <br />150' <br />100' <br /> 75* <br /> <br />*Required for 'new development(s) and where practicable for existing <br />developments. <br /> <br /> 5. Surface Flooding. Sewage tanks shall not be placed in the flood <br />plains, delineanted by local ordinances adopted in compliance with the Statewide <br /> <br /> <br />
