- 11 - <br /> <br />Standards for Management of Flood Plain Areas of Minnesota (Minn. Reg. Mt 85- <br />93), or in areas for which regional flood information is available from the <br />Department of Natural Resources. <br /> <br />150.01.40 DISTRIBUTION OF L~tUE~ <br /> <br />Subd. 1 GRAVITY DISTRIBUTION <br /> <br />(a) LEVEL GROUND <br /> <br />Where the elevation differences of the ground surface does not exceed twenty- <br />eight (28) inches in any direction within the soil treatment area, the sewage <br />tank effluent may be directed to the soil treatment area through a system of <br />interconnected distribution pipes or trenched in a continuous system. <br /> <br />(b) SLIGHTLY SLOPIbI~ GROUND <br /> <br />Where the elevation difference of the ground surface exceeds twenty-eight (28) <br />inches in any direction within the soil treatment area, the sewage tank effluent <br />may be distributed by a distribution box, provided the final ground surface <br />elevation of the lowest trench is at least one (1) foot higher than the outlet <br />inverts of the distribution box. <br /> <br /> 1. The box shall be watertight with a removal cover and shall be <br />constructed of durable materials not subject to excessive corrosion or decay. <br />Each outlet shall kave at least six (6) inches of sidewall space and the side of <br />any oulet shall be at least six (6) inches from any comer. <br /> <br />2. The inverts of all outlets shall be at the same elevation. <br /> <br /> 3. The inlet inverts shall be at least one (1) inch above the outlet <br />inverts. <br /> <br /> 4. The outlet inverts shall be at least four (4)inches above the <br />distribution box floor. <br /> <br /> 5. Each drainfield trench line shall be connected separately to the <br />distribution box and shall not be subdivided. <br /> <br /> 6. When sewage tank effluent is delivered to the distribution box by <br />pump, either a baffle wall shall be installed in the distribution box or the <br />pump discharge shall be directed against a wall or side of the box on whida <br />there is no outlet. The baffle shall be secured to the box and shall extend at <br />least one (1) inch above the crown of the inlet flow line. <br /> <br />(c) SLOPIM3 GROUbD <br /> <br />Where the elevation difference of the ground surface exceeds twenty-eight (28) <br />inches in any direction within soild treatment area and a distribution box <br />cannot be used as specified in Subd. l(b) above, a drop box shall be installed <br />at the head end of each lateral line. Connection between drop boxes shall be by <br />watertight pipes. <br /> <br /> <br />
