The Board of Supervisors shall appoint five (5) persons to the <br />Horseman's Committee, including when possible, a representative of <br />the largest local horse-oriented association or club, and any other <br />person whom the Board of Supervisors feels is qualified to serve. <br />Two (2) members shall serve a three (3) year term, two (2) members <br />shall serve a two (2) year term and one (1) member shall serve a One (1) <br />year term. Any member is eligible for reappointment at the end of his <br />term. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. PERMITS AND PERMIT REVOCATION <br /> <br />No person, firm or corporation will keep, stable or maintain horses, <br />within the limits of Ramsey Township without first obtaining a permit <br />from the Town Clerk or his designated agent to so keep, stable or <br />maintain such animals. <br /> <br />Application for the permit shall be made in writing by the owner of the <br />land where such animals are to be kept to the Town Clerk or his designated <br />agent. Each application for a permit will contain the correct description <br />of the property where such animal or animals will be kept and the name <br />of the owner of the lands; if applying under the provision of Section 1, <br />Subsection D, the total number of horses must be recorded and a <br />detailed description of the horse. <br /> <br />The Horseman's Committee shall inspect the premises before issuing a <br />permit to insure that each person, firm or corporation has complied <br />with the standards and regulations contained in this ordinance. <br /> <br />The owner of the premises where such animals will be kept or stabled <br />will pay a stable fee of $7.50 to the Town Clerk or the Horseman's <br />Committee. This fee will be used to compensate the cost of issuing <br />the permits and the cost of investigating complaints· All persons <br />owning property in Ramsey Township where horses are maintained must <br />have a permit. Those persons who have maintained horses prior to the <br />adoption of this ordinance shall be inspected before obtaining a permit. <br /> <br />The permit will be of indefinite duration but subject to revocation for <br />good cause. Any permit issued may be revoked by the Town Board of <br />Supervisors if the Board finds after investigation that any section or <br />subsection of this ordinance has been violated. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. ENFORCEMENT PENALTIES <br /> <br />Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this ordinance <br />shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be <br />punished by a fine not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00) or <br />imprisonment for not to exceed ninety (90) days.
