FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 9, <br />1999, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular Finance Committee meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: Allocation of Community Development Block Grant Funds <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that at the February 2, Council work session, a <br />discussion ensued relating to possible City projects that would be eligible for CDBG <br />funding. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued at the Finance Committee level relating to possible funding for the <br />Old Town Hall preservation, fire station, transition housing, etc. <br /> <br />It was noted by Mr. Norman and Councilmember Haas Steffen during the discussion of <br />the old town hall that the original contract for the refurbishing of it appeared not to be in <br />the best interest of the City and there is nothing that can be done about it.
