Mr. Boos explained that these are just concepts at this time that have been put into the
Commissions Plan. He clarified there was not a proposal to place a trail between any homes and
the river.

Chairperson Cook stated that if they don't include it on the Comprehensive Plan it will never get
considered.

Jeff ? stated that the residents have spent good money for their lots and don't want a trail
going through their yards. He stated that maybe a plan should be put together for the
neighborhood to review so they could understand what is being proposed. Mr. Boos explained
that is exactly what the Master Trail Plan is for.

Case #4: Northfork Point

Mr. Boos explained that the Planning and Zoning Commission received a request for preliminary
plat approval for Northfork Itasca Point consisting of 35 acres which will be platted into seven
single family lots and permanent open space to be deeded to the Homeowner's Association in the
form of an outlot.

Mr. Boos stated that in accordance with the Northfork Park Dedication Agreement dated May 9,
1989, park dedication for this portion has been previously satisfied with land dedication. He
noted that since the May 9, 1989 agreement, the City now has a $150 trail fee that will be
assessed on each new lot.

COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT

Mr. Boos stated that the City is receiving bids for the tennis court.

Mr. Boos reminded the Commission that the May meeting will be held at Riverdale Park.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, and seconded by Commissioner Johns, to adjourn the meeting.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chair Cook, Commissioners Ostrum, Johns, Asfahl,
Droegemueller, LaMere, and Rolfe. Voting No: None.

The regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Nanci Libor
Recording Secretary
TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc.

Mark Bo/~'~s/~
Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Park and Recreation Commission/April 8, 1999
Page 4 of 4
