PW CASE <br /> <br />REQUESTS FOR TRAFFIC CALMING <br /> By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Attached to this case is a letter from James Singewald requesting the installation of an <br />all-way (3-way) stop at the intersection of 143rd Lane and Potassium Street. Also, at the <br />public hearing from the 1999 Street Maintenance Program, a resident of Traprock <br />Commons requested discussion of closure of a portion of 158th Lane and/or Traprock <br />Street may be anticipated, and residents were invited to this evening's meeting to present <br />their concerns and ideas. Attached is a letter from Traprock resident Bob Hamborg, <br />which outlines some of his concerns for the neighborhood. Finally, at the December 15, <br />1998 Public Works Committee meeting, a request for the placement of a stop sign at the <br />intersection of 144th Lane and Tungsten Way was denied but a review of this decision <br />was to he made in the spring of this year. <br /> <br />Staff suggests discussion of these topics and that subsequent discussion and action be <br />taken at the April 20, 1999 Public Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Direct staff to address the above traffic review requests at the April 20, 1999 Public <br />Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />Director of Public Works <br /> <br />PW: 03/16/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
