Ms. Booth stated that she is concemed that the City will approve the plan without discussing the <br />plan with the neighbors. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman replied that the City would include the residents before a final <br />decision was made. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that if an alternate plan is agreed upon, Orrin Thompson <br />Homes would need to obtain right of entry to regrade the property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the residents would be opposed to a retaining wall being <br />installed on their property. <br /> <br />Ms. Booth replied that she would not be opposed to a retaining wall if they know what the <br />property will look like when completed. <br /> <br />Ms. Weiss stated that Orrin Thompson Homes has not been getting back to them in regards to the <br />situation. <br /> <br />Mr. Weiss explained that during their meeting with Orrin Thompson Homes, Bill Pritchard <br />mentioned the idea of possibly changing their home as another option, but they have not had any <br />response to their correspondence. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman noted that the City needs to approach the situation on a <br />neighborhood basis so the whole problem is solved, not only a portion of the problem. <br /> <br />Ms. Tanski stated that she would not be opposed to a retaining wall if it will correct the problem, <br />but wants to know what her property will look like. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmennan inquired if Councilmember Hendriksen would be willing to meet <br />with the property owners before the Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied yes. <br /> <br />Mr. Tanski stated that they have not had much response from Orrin Thompson Homes in regards <br />to the situation and thinks they are finally realizing that the City and the residents are not going <br />to drop the issue. <br /> <br />Brett Perry, representing Orrin Thompson Homes, replied that Orrin Thompson Homes is not <br />putting the issue off. He explained that Orrin Thompson Homes has been working with the City <br />on a solution and the plan has to be approved by the City.
