Ms. Booth replied that she is thankful that the City is involved in the situation. She felt without <br />the City involvement Orrin Thompson Homes would be trying to get by with the cheapest fix to <br />the problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Perry replied that the current proposal is not cheap for Orrin Thompson Homes and that they <br />do plan on resolving the issue. He noted that he will be meeting with Bill Pritchard and will <br />inform him that the residents want to see elevation pictures of the proposed affects on their <br />properties. Mr. Perry also suggested that the residents call Bill Pritchard whenever they have any <br />questions. <br /> <br />Ms. Booth replied that they have tried calling Mr. Pritchard in regards to the situation, but they <br />don't receive a call back. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that sometimes in neighborhood problems the residents will <br />delegate a spokesperson to deal with the problem. <br /> <br />Councihnember Connolly inquired if there are any plans on how to handle the problem in spring <br />when the snow melts. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler replied that if the issue did go unresolved until spring it would <br />be considered a high priority area. <br /> <br />Ms. Booth inquired as to what the north field will look like. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the revised plan includes a four-foot pond. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned where the water table was for that area. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the water table is approximately eight feet down. <br /> <br />Ms. Tanski inquired if the City accepts the latest proposal will the City inspect the work after it is <br />completed. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that situations like this are not common and the City will be <br />inspecting the completed work. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmennan suggested hiring Hakanson Anderson to inspect the work once <br />completed. He explained that the next step will be to have Staff review the revised plan and than <br />Staff will submit a letter to the Council and Mayor. If it seems as if the plan is acceptable then <br />they would ask for the input of the residents. <br /> <br />Ms. Weiss thanked City Staff and Councilmembers for their time and effort on trying to correct <br />the problem.
