Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Appointment of Fire Officer Positions <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to <br />accept the proposal of the Fire Chief and offer the position of Captain #11 to Bob <br />Simpson, Lieutenant #1 to Jori McLaughlin and Training Officer to Ron Lemm. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />Haas Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Approve Appointments to Public Safety Board <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to <br />approve the Mayor's recommendation for the following appointments to the Public <br />Safety Board: Tom Gamec- Mayor, Terry Hendriksen - Councilmember, David <br />Lewandowski - Fire Department, A1 Pearson - citizen, James Way - Police Department, <br />Carl Grassl - citizen, Tom Anderson - citizen (Anoka Police Department). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Anderson, <br />Hendriksen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Authorize Agreement for 1999 Contractual Inspection Services <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that Colleen Rybak, secretary, is also a licensed <br />building inspector and is willing to work in the inspections department during the times <br />of the year the demand for services exceeds the capacity of regular inspections staff. The <br />City has a temporary clerical employee filling in for an employee who is on parenting <br />leave. The employee on leave will return to work in March, about the same time the <br />Inspection works load increases. This temporary employee is willing to fill in for Ms. <br />Rybak when she is assisting with inspections. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to <br />authorize staff to assign Colleen Rybak to provide supplemental inspections services <br />provided for in the 1999 operating budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />Haas Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) Review and Adopt 1998 Amended General Fund Budget <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman <br />to adopt Resolution #99-01-012 amending the 1998 General Fund Budget. <br /> <br />City Council/January 12, 1999 <br /> Page 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
