• Trees to include; 12 Swamp White Oak 2.5" BB, 28 Clump Form River Birch 12' <br /> BB, 12 Tamarack 6' BB. <br /> • Shrubs to include; 65 Low Grow Sumac #5 Container Grown, 44 Artic Fire <br /> Dogwood #5 Container Grown. <br /> • Site preparation to include cutting and removing a circular disc of existing erosion <br /> control fabric for each tree and shrub, and the application of Preen over the entire <br /> medians before the placement of the woodchips. <br /> • Mulch to be an estimated 80 cubic yards of Coco Brown wood chips (2"thick <br /> coverage). <br /> • This Request for Quotation shall be a not-to-exceed, lump sum amount, for the <br /> irrigation component, and numbers of trees and shrubs to be planted. If upon field <br /> staking in the medians, it is determined that the tree and shrub count can not'fit', <br /> the tree(s)/shrubs shall be planted by the Contractor elsewhere in the park, <br /> without the corresponding irrigation component. The Contractor must include <br /> within his/her quote any time or materials necessary and incidental to complete <br /> the work in a professional and quality manner. There will be no Change Orders. <br /> • Key points of the design-build irrigation are noted below. All irrigation <br /> components shall be staked or located for field verification and approval by <br /> the City. <br /> • The irrigation main line is in place and consists of a 2" PVC pressurized pipe <br /> approximately 4' to 6' west of the north/south driveway. Two, 2" 'T's shall be <br /> placed into this main line, one for each median and routed with the new wires <br /> (+/- 100' feet) into existing sleeves to and within the medians. The new 2" PVC <br /> pipe shall be terminated at two (2), 1 1/2 inch Hunter valves in each median (four <br /> new valves). <br /> • From the four new valves, 1 'A poly pipe shall be ran to the center point of each <br /> of the four existing long runs of 1" poly pipe that the individual sprays shall be <br /> attached to, for uniform pressure. <br /> • Add approximately 700' feet of 13 strand, 14 gauge wire from warming house to <br /> beyond the median to the existing drinking fountain. <br /> • Install new, 24 zone Weathermatic controller in the warming house utility room <br /> and connect to the existing zones and four (4) new valves. <br /> • Medians shall have one zone of 12' Hunter Pros-04 spray heads (26) on each side, <br /> back of curb for a total of 104 new spray heads for both medians. <br /> 31Page <br />
