Case #2: Introduce Ordinance to Vacate a Road Easement in the North 12 of the SE ¼ of Section 27, Township 32, Range 25; Case of Waltek, Inc. Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:14 p.m. in order to conduct a public hearing. Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:14 p.m. Presentation Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the City has received an application from Waltek to vacate a roadway easement that exists on their parcel. During the site plan review process for the Waltek facility, an easement for roadway was found which affected the existing facility and proposed expansion. The site plan will provide a roadway easement for the east end of the plan to intersect with 144th Avenue. The intent would be to intersect at Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW and then a future public road would move to the north side of the property. Ms. Frolik observed that if a road were built on the existing roadway easement, the building would become non-conforming because proper setbacks could not be maintained. There is adequate land area north to accommodate a roadway if needed in the future. Citizen Input None Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adjourn the public heating. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Zimmerman, Anderson and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. The public hearing adjourned at 7:16 p.m. Council Business Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:16 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to introduce the ordinance to vacate certain roadway easements.
