Councilmember Hendriksen stated that during the meeting on June 24, 1999, some residents <br />suggested that the Council was trying to rush the decision of Sunwood Drive before the election <br />was completed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to table <br />this item until after the election for the new City Councilmember is completed. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Anderson stated that she didn't understand why Council <br />should postpone the vote because the residents of Sunwood Drive want an answer. <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the residents of Sunwood Drive have requested that the <br />vote be postponed. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Anderson. <br /> <br />Case #2: 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor License Application for Renewal <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson stated that applications for renewal of the following license has been <br />received, processed, and deemed to be in order: <br /> <br />Off-Sale Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquor <br />Super America 14000 St. Francis Boulevard Northwest <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to <br />approve license renewals for the 1999-2000 license year. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, and <br />Anderson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Application for a One-Day 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor License; Case of Ramsey <br />Lions Club <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson stated that the Ramsey Lions Club has properly applied for a one-day, 3.2 <br />percent beer license for sales on Saturday, July 17, 1999. The site of the sales and event is a car <br />show in the parking lot of the Anchors Away Car Wash/Quick Lube facility located at 6745 <br />Highway # 10 Northwest. Chief Gustafson explained that the Ramsey Lions have provided all of <br />the necessary documents required for the issuance of this type of license. The Lions Club will <br />use the proceeds from the beer sales to help defray civic event costs such as the annual <br />community picnic held at Central Park. He noted that the Lions Club is requesting that City <br />Council waive the application fee.
