Council Member <br /> <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, on May 23, 2006 the City Council authorized a recruitment process <br />for a Community Service Officer; <br /> <br /> WI-IEREAS, an internal recruitment process was conducted to fill the <br />Community Service Officer position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to hire a Community Service <br />Officer at an hourly rote of $15.30. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the foliowing: <br /> <br /> 1. Grant authorization to staff to hire a Community Service Officer at $15.30 per <br /> hour with a start date of June 21,2006 with the understanding that the selected <br /> candidate may be asked to assist with community activities prior to the official <br /> start date. <br /> <br /> 2. Grant staff anthorization to bring forward the name of the selected candidate to a <br /> future City Council meeting for ratification pending receipt of satisfactory pre- <br /> employment physical and drug test results. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 13th day of June, 2006. <br /> <br />-326- <br /> <br /> <br />
