SPECIAL MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Monday, August 23, 1999, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Cindy Sherman <br />Community Development Assistant Sean Walther <br />Brad Scheib, Hoisington, Koegler Group, Inc. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the special meeting to discuss the Comprehensive Plan to order at 5:40 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) Comprehensive PLan <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman disseminated a handout from the Metropolitan Counciland a draft of <br />the City of Andover's land use plan. The discussion tonight will focus on mixed residential and <br />also the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA). <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated he would like a spreadsheet so he would know where the City <br />is with regard to targeted density of the Met Council. <br /> <br />Brad Scheib, HKGi, responded it is three units per gross acre. <br /> <br />· Councilmember Hendriksen stated that his intent was to ask the questions of the Met Council <br /> how it is that they arrive at that number. <br /> <br />Mr. Scheib explained how they arrived at three units per acre. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen explained how he understood Met Council's calculations. <br /> <br />Mr. Scheib read what was written as far as available land. <br /> <br />City Council - Special Meeting - August 23, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
